Ipv6 + Mobile-ip + Mrsvp = Internet Cellular Phone?

چکیده
Initially, Internet protocols were not designed for mobility nor were they designed for handling real-time services. Recent research e orts on Mobile-IP and RSVP are aimed at providing these features in the Internet. However, additional support is needed to provide real-time services for moving users. One such real-time service for mobile users is the concept of an Internet Cellular Phone. An IP based backbone network capable of delivering packetized voice to moving users.

A Low Latency Handoff Algorithm for Voice over IP Traffics in the Next Generation Packet-Based Cellular Networks: Cellular Mobile IPv6
In the mobile communication environments, Mobile IP is defined to provide users roaming everywhere and transmit information freely. It integrates communication and network systems into Internet. The Mobile IPv6 concepts are similar to Mobile IP, and some new functions of IPv6 bring new features and schemes for mobility support. Two major problems in mobile environments are packet loss and hando...
متن کاملSeamless Support for Mobile Internet Protocol Based Cellular Environments
Cellular is the inevitable architecture for the Personal Communication Service system (PCS) in the coming future. Access to the Internet via cellular networks is expected to become an essential portion of future wireless service offerings. Providing seamless support for IP based packet switched services has become an important issue. The Internet Engineering Task Force’s (IETF’s) mobile IP prot...
متن کاملQoS Pre-Configure Mechanism on DiffServ Mobile IPv6 Networks
Next-generation wireless/mobile networks will be IP-based cellular networks integrating Internet with the existing cellular networks and Mobile IPv6 seems to be the proper next-generation wireless protocol. Mobile IPv6 is proposed to remain a device reachable even though the device roams away from one network to another. But Mobile IPv6 networks can only provide best-effort services and most st...
متن کاملFH-RSVP scheme for intra-site handover in hierarchical mobile IPv6 networks
This paper proposes a new RSVP and Mobile IP interworking scheme, called FH-RSVP, to support QoS of real-time applications in mobile environments. FH-RSVP uses unicast sender-oriented RSVPs with HMIPv6 protocol and makes anticipated reactive resource reservations based on fast handover principles when an intra-site handoff can happen to WLAN access radio medium. Simulation results show that our...
متن کاملIP paging considered unnecessary: Mobile IPv6 and IP paging for dormant mode location update in macrocellular and hotspot networks
Cellular telephones save power by switching to a low power, or dormant, mode when there is no active traffic. In dormant mode, the telephone periodically checks for a beacon, and if the beacon indicates that the phone has moved to a new paging area, the telephone performs a paging area update. Paging area update signaling requires considerably less power than is required to move an active traff...
